Students learnt about the production of nuclear isotopes and used a Geiger counter to test the radiation coming off some regular household items. At the National Maritime Museum they studied Shipwrecks and Corrosion and learned how a canon from Captain Cook’s ship The Endeavour and an anchor from the First Fleet’s flag ship The Sirius have been conserved after a couple of centuries under-water. Thank you Mr Haddon for organising this great excursion.
