Andrew Boog

Andrew was born and bred in Dubbo before heading to Canberra for university.  He returned with his family in 1995 to establish a branch of his Broken Hill legal practice.  He is married to Joanne who was a regular volunteer with the school for a number of years.  Their sons Arend and Damien both completed their education at Dubbo Christian School.

Andrew is a local solicitor specialising in business law.  He holds degrees in economics, law, business administration and arts (theology and philosophy).  He is qualified as an accountant and is an accredited business law specialist.  He is a Fellow of CPA Australia, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Management and a Certified Tax Adviser. He has held numerous board appointments including as President of Dubbo Chamber of Commerce and Industry and of Western College.  He is currently President of the Orana Law Society, a Councillor of the NSW Law Society, chairing several of their sub-committees, a director of Verto and of Legal Super, an industry superannuation fund.  In his spare time he is a part-time lecturer in Commercial Transactions at the College of Law Masters program and a nationally accredited mediator, particularly as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.  Andrew also conducts a fortnightly legal spot on ABC radio.  He is a member of the Dubbo Parish of the Anglican Church, also serving on the Professional Standards Committee for the diocese.  He has previously served on the Board of Dubbo Christian School.

The school is a beacon for what Christian living can and should look like.  We need to do all we can to make that beacon shine as brightly as possible, not to bring credit to us, but in thanks to our God for the good things He has done for us.  Andrew welcomes the opportunity to help that beacon shine.
