The School Board is charged with the responsibility of governing both Dubbo and Wellington Christian Schools, and in particular, ensuring the strategic direction and operation of each school aligns with stated purpose of the organisation. According to the constitution, the company’s object is to pursue the following purpose(s):
- To operate a school or schools providing Christ centred, Bible based education. Such operations are to be grounded in the principles outlined in the Statement of Faith and Educational Creed.
- To promote Christian education through affiliation with any other organisations that promote our objects.
But, what is the makeup of the Board? Who is it that supports the school community by giving up their time to serve on the Board? The Board is comprised of parents who are elected from the Association, the group within our community that are able to agree with, and support the Statement of Faith
that underpins the operation of both schools.
Our mission is to provide high quality schooling which is Bible based and Christ-centred. Our school works as a partnership; staff, parents and supporters working together for the educational and spiritual benefit of our students. The Board works to ensure this vision is maintained on behalf of the parent community.
As parents of the school community, we commend the school to you and are available to discuss matters relating to the governance of the school. The Board Chair can be contacted by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
